If you happen to be a frequent traveler, then something you might consider doing is to buy an additional charger.  This way you can carry one in your laptop bag and the other can be left at home.   This not only provides great convenience, but also if something goes wrong and you have a laptop charger not working situation to occur, then you have a backup one to use.

Find The Right Laptop For You

1.  Do the features on the laptop provide the capability to handle your computing needs?  If you take a look at the laptop’s specs and the answer to this question is no, then regardless of the sale price it is not a good choice for you.  You need to know your computer requirements before you begin searching for one.  These features on a laptop should always be considered in your selection: hard disk, memory, processor and graphics capability.  Style and weight are also considerations.  If someone on your gift list has their heart set on a pink laptop computer, then they might be disappointed to open their gift and find a black one.
 
2.  Instead of a laptop, would a netbook be a better choice?  For people with computer needs that are fairly basic, a netbook often is a great choice.  Netbooks are often priced lower than laptop computers because of minimal features being used in the design.  The rule of thumb to remember when buying a computer is that the less upgrades and fewer features on one, the cheaper the price.
 
3.  Is the price for a laptop, even laptops on sale, too much for the budget?   Computers are an investment and your finances should be able to allow for one before purchase.  If money is tight right now, then it is better to save up for awhile until you can afford one that can handle your needs.  In the meantime until you can afford one, most libraries have computers for patrons to use.
